CancelCovid Smell Challenge Information

When you voluntarily complete the CancelCovid Smell Challenge, you will be asked to provide information about the current state of your sense of smell. This information, in addition to other information collected and/or inferred from third parties such as location data and demographic information, may be used to aid those performing research about patterns of COVID, including how it spreads and developing methods to slow the spread of the coronavirus and/or prevent another pandemic from occurring. This information, which is not considered health information under applicable privacy laws, may also be shared with advertisers who may send you targeted ads about COVID related products and services, including clinical trials or other research opportunities, available to you based on your location. You will not be asked to provide your name or contact information, but your zip code, geolocation data, and mobile device ID or IP address may be collected.

 

Server Logs

  • Like many businesses, we hire other companies to perform certain business-related services.   • We may also disclose Personal Information to our parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, joint ventures, or other companies under common control in order to support marketing and providing our services.

 

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, dissolution, reorganization or similar corporate event, or the sale of all or substantially all of our assets, we expect that the information that we have collected, including Personal Information, would be transferred to the surviving entity in a merger or the acquiring entity. All such transfers shall be subject to our commitments with respect to the privacy and confidentiality of such Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. This policy shall be binding upon CancelCovid and its legal successors in interest.

We are required to disclose Personal Information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including for the purpose of meeting national security or law enforcement requirements. CHILDREN

Please note that we do not currently sell your Personal Information as sales are defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.
