According to the University of Washington, projected deaths due to COVID-19 are estimated to be more than 300,000 by the end of November, and could be well above 400,000 if government mandates continue to ease.
Our Impact
As scientists race to develop a vaccine for COVID-19, we are working to slow down the spread of coronavirus by creating awareness of a unique symptom of the disease: the sudden loss of smell and taste, also known as Anosmia. When we started the CancelCovid initiative, very few Americans were aware of this unique symptom. Our hope is that by generating awareness of the symptom, we may save a few more lives as a result of contagious individuals quarantining when losing their sense of smell or taste.
